Design Passage was launched in 2023 as a new initiative by Embassies of Design Foundation and WOTH Studio, building on the legacy of Designkwartier Den Haag, which organized annual festivals in the Zeeheldenkwartier between 2013 and 2018. The first edition took place across the upper floors of De Haagse Passage and brought together more than fifty participants, attracting over 3,300 visitors.

Sina Dyks took part in this inaugural edition, presenting her work within the curated program shaped by Mary Hessing and Toon Lauwen of WOTH Studio. Her contribution formed part of a diverse selection of designers and artists, highlighting contemporary approaches to materiality and design.

The 2023 edition was accompanied by a special WOTH tabloid publication (NL/ENG, 32 pages, full color), produced in conjunction with the festival. Supported by a subsidy from the Municipality of The Hague, Design Passage established itself as a new platform for design in the city, setting the stage for future editions.
