n January 2024, Sina Dyks opened Flowing Extension at Heden in The Hague. A vibrant solo exhibition bringing together the boundary-pushing nature of art, the craftsmanship of textiles, and the aesthetics of design.

For the first time, Sina presented not only a wide selection of sculptural wall hangings but also a series of rugs. Offering visitors a unique and comprehensive impression of her innovative textile practice. Rooted in a deep knowledge of and love for an age-old craft, Sina activates the technical and poetic potential of textile to create colourful, sculptural objects that spark curiosity about the making process and above all invite genuine, attentive looking.

At the heart of Sina's practice lies a mission: to bridge the gap between creative design and technical textile production . Two worlds that do not always speak the same language, and whose disconnect so often prevents the full potential of the craft from being realised. Driven by innovative ambition, she masters both the technical and the design sides of her art form. She repurposes plastics into self-spun yarns, weaves them into her textile objects, and programs her own looms. Expanding her artistic freedom at every step. Across all her collections, sustainability and innovation are inseparable.
