Stimuli Wiring System

With Collection Stimuli Wiring System, I explore perception as a dynamic process shaped by the interaction between external stimuli and the internal structures through which we experience the world. My work is rooted in the idea that perception is never neutral; it is continuously influenced by the senses, but also by memory, culture, genetics, upbringing, and personal experience.

“We do not see the world as it is; we see it through the richness of our internal wiring.”

Sina Dyks

I see external stimuli as signals: fragments of information that are constantly received, translated, and reorganized by the body and brain. At the same time, I understand this process as a form of weaving. Like warp and weft crossing to form a textile, sensory input, memory, and lived experience intertwine to construct the way we perceive reality.

The stimuli that enter through our senses activate processes within the body and the brain, shaping how we respond, how we assign meaning, and how we move through the world. Perception is therefore not a fixed state, but an ever-changing system—formed by what surrounds us and by what already exists within us.

Through this work, I want to reveal the beauty, intensity, and richness of color as a way of making perception visible. For me, color is not merely visual; it carries emotional, physical, and psychological resonance. It becomes a language through which complexity, sensitivity, and inner movement can be experienced.

No one can ever fully know how another person will perceive the world in a given moment. Perception remains personal, unstable, and constantly shifting. At the same time, we are not passive within it. Through attention, curiosity, and repetition, we can sharpen the way we see, deepen the way we feel, and transform the way we understand what is around us.

Collection Stimuli Wiring System emerges from this tension: between external input and internal wiring, between order and friction, between movement and connection. In this work, I search for continuous movement and for the richness of the human system—how the body carries signals, how the brain translates them, and how this ongoing exchange shapes our experience of being.
